So far we have caught 4 mice in the new house. 2 lived to see another day (outside). 2 dead. The kitchen terrifies me! I refuse to open cabinets. The end.
Store everything in sealable plastic boxes and wait 'em out with sticky traps. Strategically place 'em wherever you're finding evidence and (this part's gross) wait a day or two before you clean up and they'll come back to that spot. I'd watch it about poison with pets in the house. Just some thoughts. We've been there. Don't be afraid of your kitchen. You pay for the place and they don't.
Magnolia Notes is a glimpse at my life in small-town Tennessee. I live a relatively small life here, and I enjoy it. We're recent transplants to Tennessee by way of Tupelo and Columbus, Mississippi, and we're spending most of our time getting acquainted with the Birthplace of Buford Pusser, legendary lawman of the South. I spent a little time working in journalism when I was in College, and the more I write, the more I find inspiration in my own surroundings. I hope you enjoy this little walk through my town and my daily life, and please feel free to contact me!
The first thing I remember regarding what I wanted to be when I grew up was "Marilyn Monroe." And so began a long-standing love of the vintage, the feminine, and the glamorous.
I attended the Mississippi University for Women, a charmingly small university that has accepted men since 1982. I received a BS in Communication (Read: PR, Journalism, Visual Design, Audio, Video, Advertising).
I'm in HR with a dash of freelance graphic design, and my husband is a nurse. We also play mom and dad to an obscene amount of animals.
